Noise Levels

Table 3.13-12 shows the measured noise levels in the Imperial Beach receiver site area. From this

data, it may be assumed that noise levels of 65-67 dBA would be typical at the homes closest to the

beach during periods when there is little or no activity on the beach. Noise levels may be at the

higher end of the range at the northen and southern portions of the site than at the central portion

because the surf line is closer to the homes. Homes south of Descanso Avenue are subject to

helicopter noise from Naval Auxiliary Landing Field, Imperial Beach.
