The idea is to trap sand within the groin compartment as shown in Figure 6. This
type of structure has never been used for erosion prevention and fits the non-traditional or
innovative criteria under the Section 227 program. Units were trucked to the staging site
in there usual position with the legs facing downward. The units were flipped upside
