This study has provided a direction for future wave measurement initiatives in Chile. Another outcome of this work
has been the development of a draft "norm", or standard, for wave analysis work in Chile. This norm will outline
the minimum level of technical investigation, and provides specific mention of the requirement for appropriate
analysis of the complex wave conditions present along the Chilean coastline.
