By placing the file named "sedmemsize.dat" in the same directory as the SED2D run
The file "sedmemsize.dat"
control file (.trn file), the dimensions of the model can be customized for your project
allows the user to customize
specific requirements and accommodate your personal computer's memory/disk space
the dimensions of the SED2D
The default memory model is set for approximately 2 gigabytes of random access
memory (RAM). The user may customize the memory requirement by modifying
the third line of the file "sedmemsize.dat". A representative sample of the contents
of the file is shown below. The first line contains the word "user" in columns one
through four. The second line has no function other than to serve is a character
string header for the third line. The third line of data are integer values
corresponding to variable names in the header list. These integer values are list
directed, so at least one space or a comma must separate each variable.

Where the SED2D dimension variables are defines as
Maximum number of node numbers
Maximum number of element numbers
Maximum number of equations (suggestion MNEQ=MNE)
Maximum number of clay bed layers (suggest: 10)
Maximum number of matrix columns
Maximum buffer size
Maximum number of continuity check lines (GCL strings)
Maximum number of nodes on a check lines
(includes corner and midside nodes)
Maximum number of special print nodes or elements
Maximum number of Boundary condition (BC) buffer nodes
Maximum number of BC buffer cells (suggest: 10)
Maximum number of quality constituents (MQAL = 1)
Maximum number of time steps
Modes of Operation
SED2D may be executed either in interactive mode, batch mode or automatic mode.
Typically SED2D is set to
automatic, simulation super
The mode is determined by the value of the IBATCH variable within the program.
file, mode for compatibility
You can change the mode only if you have the source code and a FORTRAN
with simulation super file
saved by SMS.
